Impact of negative reviews

According to our research, the range of negative reviews between 2.5 and 7.5% has a positive effect on the image of the business.

The selection of dresses is good but I found the stylist unhelpful and coy. I would ask to try on a dress and she’d ignore me or bring me something different without explanation. Then say something like I’m not going to put you in something you don’t love. I will likely buy one of the dresses I tried but will purchase from another salon as I don’t feel good about my money going here. For the record the dress is the one I asked to try on, and basically had to rip it off the rack and take back to the dressing room myself.

I have a hard time writing this but my experience here felt very much less than honest. I attempted to get the dress of my dreams shipped here to try on and they said no problem. After a week I checked in to see if they verified, and they told me they’d let me know within a couple days. A couple days later, I checked in and they said a couple more days. A couple days went by and I checked in again and they told me that the designer doesn’t carry my size and wouldn’t be able to get it in. Later that same day another boutique verified they could get my dress in and in my size. Against better judgement I went to the appointment made when I thought they could get the dress in because I hadn’t really tried on many dresses at this point and wasn’t sure the style I was looking for. Upon arrival I just didn’t feel respected by my stylist. She asked my interest and I shared with her the dress I was having shipped. She appeared to get annoyed that I was still going elsewhere to try the dress of my dreams. She told me that the designer was no longer making dresses, material was almost impossible to get and that the return time would be later than my wedding date (9+months). I felt a lot of fear hearing this as I really fell in love with this dress and wasn’t sure what to believe. I maintained composure was open to new dresses and found one that was beautiful. At the end of the day I was there for the dress. She offered it at a large discount as I was walking out. I felt anxious like I needed to make a decision then but there was no way I could as I knew I needed to wait for THE DRESS. I got to the other place a few weeks later and they verified nothing that was said was true. The dress fit and I fell in love! I’m sad that I am writhing this, I’m not a Karen. But I feel it’s necessary to know as this was pretty horrendous and not at all a way anyone should be treated when buying their wedding dress.

I scheduled my first bridal appointment at a&bé, and was extremely disappointed. Preparing for the appointment I answered questionnaires, had a phone call, shared a Pinterest board, and specifically pointed out several dresses in the shop that I told my stylist I wanted to try on. She didn't pull a single dress that I mentioned ahead of time or in the store. A big concern of mine was sample sizes, and whether they would fit. Over the phone they assured me there would be a variety of sizes. When I arrived that wasn't the case. My stylist also didn't give me any idea of what size I would be in bridal to help me with future appointments. She just pulled dresses one by one without giving me options, and after trying 4 or 5 dresses on we were rushed out at the end of my appointment. There wasn't pressure to buy, but definitely pressure to pick favorites. I left the shop feeling less confident than ever with a less-than-special experience that cost me $25.
